Born and raised in Israel, Shai obtained an LL.B. with distinction from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and clerked for Justice E. Mazza at Israel’s Supreme Court before being admitted to the Israeli Bar Association. He worked internationally for a highly regarded law firm until in 2014 he co-founded Raz, Ordan, Law Offices in Berlin and Tel-Aviv.

For commercial and technological dispute resolution, Shai brings years of experience as a lawyer in the field of international business, mergers and acquisitions and intellectual property. This experience is invaluable in helping to bridge cultural and other gaps in the international environment.

Shai was certified as a mediator and accredited as a cross-border family mediator by MiKK - the International Mediation Centre for Family Conflict and Child Abduction. Shai is a member of MiKK and part of the Network of Cross-border Mediators.

In addition to working as a mediator, Shai trains mediation students and engages in training and consulting executives in organizational communication and cooperation. He is invited to the judges panels in the two biggest international mediation comeptitions, by ICC Paris and by IBA-VIAC.

Now splitting his time between Berlin and Tel-Aviv, Shai supports mediations in Europe and Israel. He speaks English and Hebrew at mother-tongue level, and also speaks German.
